Practitioners Forum

Come along to our meetings and help us shape the future of Safeguarding Children and Young People in Warrington!

Who attends?

The practitioner’s forum is open to all practitioners working with children and families in Warrington, no invitation necessary. If you’d prefer a calendar invitation email to safeguardingpartnerships@warrington.gov.uk to be added onto our distribution list.

Attend every meeting or attend only one, it’s up to you!

Attendance could consist of frontline practitioners across the partnership, such as:

  • Social Workers
  • Health Visitors
  • Teachers
  • Nursery staff
  • Police
  • Probation and community rehabilitation staff
  • Housing officers
  • Cheshire Fire and Rescue locality officers.
  • Volunteers
  • Residential staff

The group’s relevant audience may change depending on the forum focuses.

What is its purpose?

The aim is for staff and volunteers to share their experiences and offer feedback and challenge on changes and proposals Warrington Safeguarding Partnership has in order to keep children safe. This will allow us to implement change in an informed way.

As well as challenging from the frontline, the forum will share learning. It is also the route by which practitioners can provide the voice of children and families in Warrington to the partnership.

Opinions Matter!

Let us know your views on front line practice. How can we improve outcomes for children and young people, what’s working well in Warrington and if there are areas of practice, policy or procedure we need to work on.

If you are not able to make it to the meetings but have suggestions or feedback to give, you can email; Warrington Safeguarding Partnership at safeguardingpartnerships@warrington.gov.uk   We look forward to hearing from you.
